A Little about Me
Hello, my name is Shelby. I originally arrived in Phoenix, AZ in 1993. I came here to go to school for HVACR at Universal Technical Institute. I met my wife while I was in school and got stuck here. I say that as a joke, but I love this city. After school I joined the Army for six years to honor my country. While in the Army, I lived in Texas and then Germany. Both were beautiful places to live, but it felt great to get back home to our beautiful desert in Arizona.
I consider myself an AC doctor because the refrigeration industry is as diverse as the medical field. I have worked in every aspect of this industry from controls at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, to working on and installing units as big as a 150 ton. I have repaired the complex systems in grocery stores as well as chillers, (the biggest equipment out there).
Although I love all aspects of this industry, my true passion is working on residential equipment. I know the equipment like the back of my hand, and I love the personal interactions I have with my customers. I love hearing the little updates of their lives when I come do their regular maintenance, and it is such a great feeling to see the smiles on their faces after I fix an issue and the cool air begins blowing.
